PvE and PvP

Necromancer

* Vampiric Spirit: recharge time increased to 8 seconds.
* Angorodon's Gaze: recharge time increased to 10 seconds, Energy gain increased to 1..13.
* Vampiric Gaze: recharge time increased to 8 seconds.

PvP Only

Ranger

* Expert's Dexterity (PvP): attack speed increase reduced to 15%, Marksmanship attribute adjustment reduced to +1.

Really, that's all? I guess I should be glad they have some relevance to gvg, but I was expecting something a little meatier.

On one hand, I'm fairly glad they nerfed expert's dexterity. It was kind of a stupid ranged template and I was getting fairly sick of Debilitating Shot and Keen Arrow.

On the other hand, this probably kicks overall build diversity in the nuts, and that in conjunction with the superbly retarded map rotation means that GvG is probably going to suck for this month.

The next update is not a skill balance update, this is the skill balance for the month. Next week's update is title and PvE related only.

I'm glad two of the gayest builds were finally dealt with.

Obviously I'd like to see more but when I think about all the retarded shit Izzy has done this year, which has sent everything besides possibly gvg in a terminal nose dive, maybe he should just stick to the bare minimum.

I am so disappointed with this update. It's been a month ... and Izzy fixes 4 skills?? What the heck?? I wouldn't call the game heavily imbalanced right now but there's also so little variety you can work into builds, and Ensign's prediction that the game will get one-dimensional is chillingly true. Please do something about it? Fixing ED is great and all, but at least add some new variation to the increasingly stale PvP scene?

I'm actually pretty satisfied with this.
The two most retarded builds, N/As and loldmg rangers, got looked at. N/A still looks playable unfortunately, but ED is fixed, and hopefully won't see any more play. Skills like ED are bad for the game.
And on the other hand-
* No dartboard buffs.
* No skill reworks (after Izzy's past performances with skill reworks I don't wanna hear of those)

Until Rend Enchantments gets properly adressed not much will change.

Unfortunately Izzy doesn't want to nerf rend because he thinks highly defensive builds are 'neat' and nerfing 'offense' leads to less kills! Besides, it's the only reason to get necro secondary and you can spike someone that takes rend damage!

About the update:
ED nerf is nice but the rest of the template is still retarded, especially the spike damage.

Sloth/Keen + Hunter's + Savage under a +damage preparation is insane spike damage, don't need +1-2 marksmanship or an IAS for that even

Blood skills nerf should suffice, I wouldn't mourn a second over them if they'd gotten Smiter's Booned though.

Well, +2 attribute boost with 'Read the Wind' may have been too much but I was not expecting IAS at 15%, its barely anything.
I think they should link IAS to attribute points 15%-25% (if not 33%) as they did with the Assassin skill.

QQ at no nerf to assa-caster

just me or has hero AI got seriously worse after this update?

my heroes wont even follow flags or use macrod skills or anything anymore - and I keep losing to really shit players cause of it wtf? is happening

A-net sort yaself out and actually do a decent job for once...

AI has got worse after this update - heroes dont follow any of my instructions

I have a question.. where are assa-casters used? I watch a lot of GvG and never see them there, play RA and TA and rarely meet them there (and when I do they die awfully fast). I can't imagine them being particularely good in HA.. so yeah?

Edit: Ahh, thanks for clearing that up Payne. Now that I think about it I can see how they may be on the strong side. And yeah, I never even bothered trying HB

assa-caster r the most ovrpowered build in HB IMO
